Karine Arabian, a third-generation Armenian fashion designer, has been designing accessories under her own name since 2001: jewelers, shoes and bags, some of which were essentially crafted in Armenia. This book is also the occasion to remember the Armenian families who settled in Marseilles in the 17th century, where they ran a thriving silk trade, and to take a look at the community's vital role in fashion design in France, from the 1930s to fashion icon names of today such as Alain Mikli, K.
